I have scanned and preserved a large quanity of TRS-80

The documentation
should answer most questions about the emulator's functions.

Enhanced
Z80 Instructions
The emulator has a set of enhanced Z80
instructions. These instructions allow TRS-80 programs to
interface with the PC's disk drives, ports, memory and other
hardware. These instructions also add high level math functions
to the Z80 instruction set.
NOTE: These instructions are
only available in the emulators.
The following links contain a list of the enhanced
instructions and documentation for each instruction.

Model 1/III/4 Emulator News
Version 6.20 contains one error fix and several enhancements.
- Fixed error in enhanced truncate command which prevented
EHARD from formatting virtual hard disks.
- Changed default disk search filespec extension to: *.D?K.
This allows both .DMK & .DSK files to be displayed.
- CPU speed will not be set to default (1.774) after a
reset if the speed is locked (Shift-F6).
- Three new features have been added to the Audio/Wave
recorder.
- Baud rate select in Model 1 emulator to increase
sensitivity reading 250baud tapes.
- Volume control to adjust load sensitivity when
reading stuborn tapes.
- Tape copy option allows copying audio tapes
directly to a virtual tape.
Version 6.10 contains some more bug fixes that slipped by plus
a couple of additional features.
- Fixed error in DIV16, IDIV16, DIV32 & IDIV32
routines. There is also an error in the examples given in
the DOCs for these instructions (it been corrected too).
- Fixed error in buffered Orchestra-90 direct playback that
could cause a bad wave header to be written.
- Fixed error that prevented some files from being closed
properly (caused files later to be reported as locked).
- Fixed error that didn't report invalid handle when
extended Z80 instruction I/O was done with a file handle
of zero.
- Added extended Z80 instruction for setting CPU speed.
Function also allows setting turbo speed and locking
speed port.
The documentation for the Enhanced Z80
Instructions has been
corrected and documentation for the new 'Speed Set' instruction
has been added.
