Radio Shack's "Editor/Assembler User
Instruction Manual" RS Part# 26-2002 was scanned and
converted to a text based Word 97 document using OCR software.
All the graphics, figures and tables were preserved and the
document has been formatted identical to the original manual,
except:
- A Z80 Instruction Table of Contents has
been added.
- Numerious typographic errors in the
original document have been corrected (hopefully a
minimum were added during OCR).
- Page numbering is different due to the
added table of contents and some page re-formatting.
The .PDF format file is available for download.
TRS-80
Editor/Assembler (690k)
For those wondering why I have
chosen to scan this manual instead of the Series I
Editor/Assembler manual, here are 3 reasons.
- I have always used this
manual when programming and even when I coded the Z80
instructions into my TRS-80 emulators.
- I have the Series I manual
but I never used it because I didn't like the way the Z80
instructions were laid out in it.
- Finally, because I managed
to obtain my copy from a Radio Shack store manager, who I
had managed to persuade into trading me a copy for my
Star Trek program. This was my first payment for
programming so it has sentimental meaning to me (he
thought it was only 19.95 and he vowed to skin me alive
when he found out it cost 29.95. I worked for Radio Shack
at the time).
