How to copy files from Commodore disks to CP/M disks. First you must have the destination disk already formatted in Commodore CP/M. This can be a 1541, 1571 or 1581 disk. Software methods: 1. Crosslink - limited by file size. 2. Big Blue Reader - excellent Commercial utility. REU support. NOT limited by file size. You need either a 1571 or 1581 to take full advantage of BBR's ability to transfer to/from DOS disks. MENUs make it an easy system to use. 3. Format Executive - Commercial package for C=128 CP/M. You will need a 1571 or 1581 to take advantage of the ability to transfer to/from DOS disks. Command line structure - no menus! Modem methods: 1. Null modem to connect systems. 2. Commonsense Terminal has the ability to up/download from a Commodore CP/M disk. 3. CP/M term - runs in native Commodore mode, but uses only CP/M disks for the source/destination media. Has only Xmodem. 4. Various CP/M terminals are available for the C=128. They sure don't measure up to say DeskTerm.
