Welcome to the unofficial CP/M web site.

This site is authorized by Caldera, Inc. to distribute vintage software produced by Digital Research, Inc., INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL SOURCE CODE. Be sure that you examine the license agreement. When you download files from this site, you indicate that you accept the terms of this agreement.

This site will be a clearing house for CP/M software. That's the good news. Now the bad news. What original source you will find on this site is all there is! The rest has been lost to the ages for one reason or another.

This site is user supported. That means that much (most) of the software posted here was donated by various individuals. The postings on this site are not yet complete. It is the goal of this site to be able to post every operating system, compiler, and utility that Digital Research produced for the 8080, Z80, Z8000, and 68000 processors (assuming we can find it).

This site is dedicated to the early days of microcomputing. Digital Research produced operating systems, utilities, and language products for early microporcessor systems. These systems included such microprocessors as the 8080, Z80, 68000, Z8001, and 8086/8088. The workhorse of the operating system for these systems was CP/M. A more advanced operating system, MP/M, allowed multi-tasking and multi-user, systems to be built.

THE DIGITAL RESEARCH LIBRARY

You will find manuals for many of the Digital Research software products here. They are mostly in Postscript format

DIGITAL RESEARCH BINARY

Get the binary for Digital Research software here.

DIGITAL RESEARCH SOURCE CODE

What source code we have is here.

GEM

A more advanced operating system was produced as an extension to the PC-DOS operating system that ran on the IBM PC/XT. This system was called GEM. GEM has now been released under the GNU Public Lisence, so the restristions on CP/M products do not apply.

GEMDOS

GEMDOS is a companion OS product to GEM, but it runs on 680x0 systems; primarily the ATARI ST, and the LISA.

Some SHAREWARE is available here.

SMALL C for various platforms is available here.

ZRP/M

A 8080/Z80/Z280 CP/M emulator for PC's.

A WORD ABOUT OUR HOST SITE(s)

Our site is hosted by Interfun Corp.Check them out. This server is located in New Jersey.

Our old main site was located in Finland. Unfortunately, the server lost its' connection to the internet, so it is no longer accessable.

Our primary mirror site was at Emory University's Department of Math and Computer Science. Unfortunately, I can't get ahold of the sysadmin for that site to have him change where he gets his updates from. Therefore, the site is still up, but will not recevie updates anymore.
