In case the user not only had no diskette but also no Superbrain_specific
documentation.

Place the diskette in the LEFT drive with the window on the diskette
enveloppe HORIZONTAL first (that is, hold the diskette with fingers on
the brand label and push it into the drive so that the end with the window
goes first and the window is horizontal). The window should be on the right
side, as the label, always the label near the tab used to lock the drive.

If you need to reboot depress the two red , or one yellow one red, keys
at the lower corners of the keyboard, AT THE SAME TIME.

To format a new diskette: the SB has 35 tracks diskettes but you may use any
soft sectored 5in 1/4 diskette, single or double sided, any ``density'', the
cheapest is Ok. If both drives work, say FORMAT B: with your system disk in A:
and the new diskette in B: (right drive, same diskette insertion).

Now when the machine asks you if you want S or D  be ****SURE***** to answer
in UPPER CASE , and say S unless you know that your SB was a modern one
with double sided drives (of course you can later try D to see what happens,
a neat way to know what drive you have...). Also use UPPER CASE when prompted
to say F. This problem of upper case is the main reason for this memo, as you
could believe that FORMAT does not work, if using lower case.

You can still format, and not much more, if you have only 1 good drive, but
be careful to place the right disk at the right time.

After having formatted the diskette you copy the basic CPM system on it with
SYSGEN. That command will prompt you, STAY IN UPPER CASE. After this step,
a DIR command on the new disk still shows nothing,use PIP to copy what you need

Last, there is a CONFIGUR command to be used to set software parameters for
the communications ports. It is interactive and self explaining. The SB has
one oddity: use pin 20 of aux.port for printer handshake, connected to pin 20
of the printer; this is not orthodox, should be 5, so better note it down !
