The Special Interest Group for Microcomputers (SIG/M) of the Amateur
Computer Group of New Jersey (ACG-NJ) is a non-profit organization
devoted to the distribution of Public Domain Software.

The SIG/M disk editor decides what is published and on which disks it
will appear.

An effort is made to review and test all programs that are submitted
to SIG/M for publication. It is the firm policy to publish only those
programs which, in the opinion of SIG/M, contributes to the concept of
Public Domain software. On occasion, a known non-functioning program
will be published, if it appears to have sufficent merit.

It is a firm policy that an author's work is not changed or modified
in any way. SIG/M imposes no format or style requirements! Program
names or revision numbers are not changed without the authors consent.

SIG/M is not a means for someone to sell so-called 'freeware.'  It 
will not knowingly distribute any program that contains a request 
for  funds for use (and if one gets by without our noticing it  - 
please do not send them any money).

All software is distributed on 8" SSSD disks and can be obtained either
directly from SIG/M or from regional distributors, see file REGION.SIG.
It is preferable for you to obtain SIG/M software from the local
distribution points rather than directly  from SIG/M. Many local clubs
can assist in transfering programs to other disk formats than the 8"
standard used for distribution by SIG/M.

SIG/M software is intended for the CP/M operating system, both 8 and 16
bits. 

If  you have donations for the SIG/M library please  remember 
that  for each donation to the library you can receive two  SIG/M 
volumes  of your choice upon request. Please remember, SIG/M is a 
not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting  computerists. 

To the author is encouraged to contribute both object and source code.

A  printed  SIG/M  catalog is available  for  $3.00  (US  and Canada) 
or $4.00(foreign). Disk 00 contains the full catalog in electronic
readable form.







8" SSSD disks directly from SIG/M cost $6.00 per disk (domestic)
and $9.00 (US) per disk international.
