This program contains a patch for CP/M 2.2 that adds a new file attribute: the Public attribute. When a file's public attribute is set it is available to all users. The public attribute is f1' (the high bit of the first character of the file name). MYCHAT10.LBR (On F3>, Main Systems). Sy Steve Sanders, a CHAT written in CBASIC. For remote system operators only. This CHAT version follows the pattern of most of the otehr versions now being used, but adds more clock routines. It's unusual in that it's written in CBASIC. SAP40.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems) Sort and Pack, V4.0. This CP/M utility reads the disk directory tracks, sorts the entries alphabetically and then writes them back to the disk. Works with CP/M 1.4, 2.2 but does not work with 3.0 or MP/M. A very useful program, used in one form or another on these systems for a number of years. LUX40.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems). The latest update of LUX (Library Executive), used on remote systems. Remote SYSOPS should review. Others will find this of little or no use. ASM-SUBS.LBR (On D2>, Main Systems). Various assembler submit files for CP/M assemblers. Submitted by Rich Conn. EF19.LBR (On D1>, Main Systems). By Walt Jung. EF19 is an adaptation of EDFILE, set up to exploit the H19/H89 function keys. The key assignments augment those of the original program (which all still work). You need an H19 or H89 to make use of this. PEEK22.LBR (On C2>, Main Systems). By Mark Howard, SYSOP, CNY Technical RCP/M. Peek22 is a utility that allows system level disk I/O related calls to be traced using the system console, aux, or list device. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #208 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. ECHELON.0Q5 (On E4>, Main Systems). Newsletter #5 for Rich Conn's ZCPR3. ZCPR3 has been available here for some time, as well as on a commercial basis from Echelon. We're not too sure how Rich is going to handle future updates, but still expect the next release of disks from SIG/M to have some new ZCPR3 stuff. However, those of you that must have the most current stuff may have to order directly from Echelon. Echelon is run by Frank Gaude, a frequent contributor to the CP/M world, and his prices are more than reasonable. BISHW111.NQT (On C1>, Main Systems). There are two parallel versions of BISHOW around, 1.11 and 3.12. They trace a common ancestry to Bishow 1.07, but then started to diverge. V1.11 does not handle squeezed files or libraries, but may be slightly more bug free than 3.01. Your choice. BYEMX.2Q3 (On E2>, Main Systems). Bye for the EMX remote CP/M system executive, by Simon Ewins. V2.33 makes minor mods. However, V2.32 updated code to be compatable with v3.00 of E-MX. If you're running EMX, you'll need this. EMXMNT.1Q3 (On E2>, Main Systems). EMXMNT is the file maintenance routine for the .EMX files used with the E-MX remote e-mail series of programs. V1.33 adds a new and improved sort routine but still handles it in memory...a disk based sort routine is expected in the next update. IBM-NET.TQT (On G6>, Main Systems). Information on the IBM AT as taken from Compuserve. This file includes U.S. list prices. Anyone wanting to keep up with whats happening in the IBM world should look at this one. MXO-OS15.AQM (On B0>, System Three). MEX Osborne 1 overlay version 1.5, written by Bob Schultz. Remember, you need Mex and all it's assorted files to go with this new overlay. DSKFRMTS.DQT (On G6>, Main Systems). A listing of disk formats for various machines. Many of you have, from time to time, asked for information on various disk formats. Here it is. CHARGES.TQT (On G6>, Main Systems). More on the continuing battles of Tom Tcimpidis and the Pacific Bell Telephone. DCALC.CQD,DSHARE.CQD,DCALC.DQC,DSHARE.DQC(On B4>, System Three). By Trevor Owen, one of our local users. dSHARE is a menu driven comand program designed to run from within dBASE II. What it does is transfer dbase .dbf files to .txt files that can be edited within Wordstar (Document mode), and transfer these .txt files back to .dbf files within dBASE II. A really useful enhancement for those of you trying to index and locate parts of text files...without the restriction of dbase's 1000 characters. MX11HK12.AQM (On B0>, System Three). Bug reports by Bob Schultz for MEX11. CALENDAR.LBR (On B7>, Main Systems ). CALENDAR is a Supercalc 2 program which will give you a full caendar for any year in this century. All or part of it can be printed out or a year can be consulted on the screen. You need Supercalc 2 to run this. The original program was presentned in the Dec/Jan 1983 Portable Companion, and has been updated, corrected and submitted to us by Bob Mathewson, one of our users. COPY.LBR (On E5>, Main Systems). Submitted by Larry Moore, this is a program out of the Borland Turbo Pascal manual. COPYFILE.LBR (On E5>, Main Systems). Submitted by Larry Moore, this is a program from the Borland Turbo Pascal manual. Larry has added error detection using the Exist function. DA.LBR (on B2>, Main Systems). By E. Meyer. DA is a utility for manipulating 'Directory Attributes'. It was written for a CP/M 3 system , but should work on 2.x as well. DA.COM takes only 1k of disk space, yet it not only allows the setting of attributes, but also functions as a uniquely selective 'directory' program including file sizes and free disk space. LAYOUT.LBR (On G6>, Main Systems). For our long distance lovers, the layout of the Prince George, BC RCP/M system. Much of our stuff is sent there, but the SYSOP (Fred Quebec, one of our users) also collects stuff from the West Coast. You might want to check this one out. MEXCPM3.LBR (On B0>, System Three). Ron Fowlers latest update to Mex. V1.12 fixes a bug in the Read Processor, in the buffer, adds more error checking to the DEL command, modifies the protocol for file transfer so MEX can't abort in the middle of a file transfer, and does other things. Take this....it's considerably improved over the earlier versions of MEX. Remember, you'll have to reintegrate your overlay files. COMPARE.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems). This program compares two disk files for equality and lists the differences encountered. Addresses start at 0100H, which is typical for nearly all CP/M systems. Lack of data on a file is indicated by '**' on the listing in place of the byte value. By Tom Wood of San Jose. FIND51.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems) By Irv Hoff. Find51 locates strings of characters in a file, then displays the entire lines that the string was found on. It can be used with wildcards to look through numerous files automatically, searching for a articular combination of characters. It is especially useful with MAST.CAT or MAST.LST catalog progrmas to see what disk(s) a program might be on. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #207 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our SIX! remote telecommunications systems. CNAMES.CMD, DBF (On B4>, System Three). A massive dBASE II cross reference routine. Originally designed for the CPMIG user group list on Compuserve, it could easily be adapted to other uses. Have a look if you're into dBASE II at all. KAMMERMN.TXT (On G6>, Main Systems). Review of the Kammerman labs hard disk, for the IBM and others. Sounds like a pretty good deal. MX111UPD.LBR (On B1>, System Three). MEX is a modem executive program, which is in all probability the best program you'll find at any price for CP/M communications. V1.11 fixes: baud rate code, agrees now with MEXPAT111, fixes local stack, and fixes I/O vector routines. If you're not using MEX, you should be. RCP-BEST.0Q7 (On G6>,Main Systems). By Steve Sanders. Steves list of what he feels are the best programs on RCP/M systems. Many of these are available here...New Users...especially...should review this file. XCAT42.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems). XCAT users the CP/M catalog file called MAST.CAT. It makes a new cross reference file which it can then immediately print in paginate format, or put to disk. Can handle files of any lenght. Use with MCAT below. MCAT45.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems). MCAT is a CP/M catalg maintenance program. It gets the directory from each disk, and adds it to a MAST.CAT file. If any new program have been added or deleted since the disk was last updated, MAST.CAT is correspondingly updated. This is the only way to keep track of large numbers of disks. We use MCAT here to print our cross reference listings. This program is menu driven, and fairly straigthforward for anyone familiar with dBASE II. It has more value in that it provides something to tinker with than in it's inherent value as a household account system, mostly because it's very slow. You might try running this off a RAM disk. EMX-300.BUG (On E2>, Main Systems). Bug report from Simon Ewins for his EMX Mail/Message/BBS system. GEMINIPR.OJB (ON C3>, Main Systems). Star Gemini Printer setup program. If you're looking for the terminal program for your personal computer, look in B1>, System Three for MEX or MDM740. XMODEM is for remote system operators. This version adds an automatic switch after 5 timeouts to checksum mode, and should eliminate some confusion of users with older versions of MODEM which do not support the CRC transfer protocol. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #203 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. EZCPR.LBR (On E4>, Main Systems). By Dennis Hamilton. EZCPR is a replacement for the Standard CP/M console command processor. EZCPR will usually operate by itself, making installation very easy. While sufficent for demonstration, and limited exploration, you will need to make some other mods, all of which can be done with the files within this library. We haven't explored this one at all, having brought ZCPR2 up some time ago. Users with ZCPR2 (0r 3) probably won't be interested in this one. Users without ZCPR2 or 3 should look at this library carefully, as it does allow for significent improvements in the operation of your CP/M based system, without requiring a great deal of effort to implement it. OLINKJET.LBR (On C1>, Main Systems). By Steve Sanders, a program to demonstrate the different type sizes/widths and special printing characteristics of the Olivetti ink Jet PP2300 printer. SD-91.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems). The latest update of the Super Directory program, in use on virtually all RCP/M systems. Now with timing routines, and all sorts of other goodies. TYPEL34A.LBR (On C1>, Main Systems). TypeL is a univeral single file lister. This version fixes a bug introduced in V3.2, adds the ability to select/deselect System files, and now requires SYSLIB3 for assembly. .COM file included so you don't have to reassemble unless you modify. A fast simple replacement for the CP/M TYPE command. In use here...as the TYPE command. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #202 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. These programs available by Mail on RCP/M DISK #202 (08/18/84) EMX-300.LBR (On F3>, Main Systems). By Simon Ewins...REQUIRES z80 based system to run. E-MX is a remote mail exchange and security control system for remote CP/M systems. The file will also run quite well as a local or area network mail exchange system also. V3.0 is the first release of the source code of the system. Users of prior versions of EMX can easily upgrade to this version. Full documentation is in the library, and the system has been running on Simon's RCP/M for some time now. This is a significent addition to the public domain world of RBBS systems, and should be considered if you are plannning to run a remote system. KP-DBASE.LBR (On A4>, System Three). By Steve Sanders. A mailing list DATABASE program written in CBASIC. This is an eay to use database that will allow the manipulation of names, address, and phone numbers. It is menu driven for simplicity and will print 1-across labels from the member information contained in DATABASE.DAT file. While it's set up for Kaypros, it should work on any CP/M computer suporting Lear Seigler ADM31 control codes, and could probably be modified for others. LDIR22.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems). Library Directory Program. New feature allows searching for members within a library, instead of listing all the contents of the library. Now requires SYSLIB3 to assembly, but .COM file is included so that reassembly is not needed. Adds new TOTAL line to display. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #201 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. These programs available by mail on RCP/M Disk #201 (08/18/84) AUTOMX.IQF (On B1>, System Three). This is a discussion of one way to use MEX as a basic component of a simple deleyed/automatic file transfer procedure for CP/M 2.2. This procedure has been implemented on a number of systems, and likely could be modified for almost any type of computer/smart modem combination. BISHW111.AQM (On C1>, Main Systems). This modification by Earl Boone. A buffered bidirectional file scroll utility. This version reformatted help messages, changed default line width, and makes a number of other small modifications. M7C3-2.AQM (On B1., System three). Modem 7 overlay file for CP/M plus. This update/revision by Larry Smith removed Z80 instructions to make the file again compatible with 8080 assemblers. MEX-RQV.TQT (On B1>, System Three). This file is a brief review of MEX 10 and contains a few hints derived from trial and error experimentation. NEWBASE.AQM (On , System Three). By Gene Head, for dBASE II users. WSFAST13.SQB (not on systems). A speed up wordstar utility. It's already been replaced by WSFAST15, which is on the systems on D1>, Main Systems. ECHELON.002 (On E4>, Main Systems) ZCPR3, newletter #2. PROTECT.BUG (On >, Main Systems). Bug report and fix for Simon Ewins PROTECT.LBR. SIDEKICK.UNP (On A1>, System Three). This file will allow you to unprotect Borlands SIDEKICK so that the original distribution disk does not have to be used to run the program. If you don't have a legitmate copy of SIDEKICK, don't use this to get one. This file is specifically for registered uses for SIDEKICK. ZCPR3.001 (On E4>, Main Systems). ZCPR3, Newsletter 001. BIOS2RSX.LBR (On C2>, Main Systems). This RSX by Mike Griswold will provide CP/M 2.2 compatible BIOS support for CP/M 3.x. Primarily, it performs logical sector blocking and deblocking needed for some programs. All actual I/O is done by the CP/M 3.x bios. Modified by Dave Mabry to allow it to run on an 8085 as well as a Z80. CHAT39.LBR (On F3>, Main Systems). Chat allows a remote user to summon the RCP/M Sysop. If/when he/she answers, then the two people may type to each other. This version automatically identifies for the system operator the current caller, and supports most known RBBS types. DISKPLOT.LBR (On G2>, Main Systems). Originally published in the December 83 Byte, this version has been modified for CP/M and MBASIC. As one can expect, plots with a large number of points would be memory restricted unless the points could be obtained from disk based files. This program does just that...creates pictures on disk, which can then be accessed via routines and plotted on printers. EGASCN.LBR (On A1>, System Three). Screen update information for Eagle Owners. EMX.LBR (On F3>, Main Systems). Updates and modifications for Simon Ewins EMX mailing/bulletin board system. KPSCDUMP.LBR (On A4>, System Three). For the various versions of the Kaypro, a screen dump program. IBM and Osborne owners have had something like this for some time, now here's a set for KAYPRO owners. Machine specific files for virtually all Kaypro types. KAYPRO owners, you should look at and take this one. MESSAGE.LBR (On F3>, Main Systems). Message typeing program for CP/M. This program is intended to make it easier to create message files for RCPM and other CP/M systems. Other programs like this exist (FILEPRINT.HEX being the most common one), but this one looks even easier to use. N20.LBR (On E1>, Main Systems) By Norman Strassner. This program accepts a decimal, hexadecimal or binary number from a CP/M command line, and converts it to the two other forms of that number and displays all three forms on the screen. NSWP207.LBR (on B2>, Main Systems). Latest update by Dave Rand of his very popular SWEEP program, in assembly language and very fast. NSWP7 has the last of the CP/M 3 features and handles concurrent CP/M as well. Throw away PIP, and all your other disk copy routines. This is all that you really need. SETOLI.LBR (On C1>, Main Systems). Anyone got an Olivetti Ink Jet printer yet? If so, this program, by Steve Sanders, will allow Olivetti PR2300 users to preset a number of options. The printer can then satisfactorily be used with the type command or other normal listing programs. SFILE13.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems). Superfile 1.3 by Gary Shaffstall. Want to search into libraries, in a manner similiar to that used by Filefind??? This one will do it. Superfile allows full wildcard searches of the directories and all library files on your system for a requested file, starting at A0> and working it's way up and across all available areas. WARNING...it uses extreme disk i/o, so older systems with slower disks may have problems. In use here now as LBRFIND. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #200 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. ASTEROID.CQD (On A1, System Three). Game in 8086 code. CBTOD.AQM (On F1>, Main Systems). The original CBTOD routine in CB80 has a number of bugs. This files fixes all of the known problems. It has not been officially blessed by Digital, but is believed to work. It also allows CBTOD to work with CP/M Plus. OZSCREEN.AQM (On A6>, System Three). By Anthony Bruni. This program dumps the current contents of the screen to the lst device. For Osborne computers only. LADIES.LBR, NUDGIRLS.LBR (On G6>, Main Systems). A series of pin-up pictures for printing on a printer. Show off some of the other uses of your computer. PROTECT.LBR (On B1>,Main Systems.) By Simon Ewins, one of our local users. PROTECT is based on the original program, PASSWORD, by B. McCormick, in 1981. Protect does as it says...protects and passwords a program and/or file so that it can't be used without the proper password. ZCASM.LBR (On A3>, System Three). ZCASM is a CRL format preprocessor. It's based on CASM, but has been modified to accept and process ZILOG mnemonics. ZCASM will read ZILOG Z80 mnemonics and create a .MAC files to be processed by M80. L80 then creates a CRL file directly without the need for DDT or the save command. Advanced 'C' users may find this file of use. OSBLINK.MAC. (On A6>, System Three). Based on a disassembly of ospatch.com which is so specific to standard Osbornes that it is useless to anyone who has modified their bios. This routine simply blinks the cursor. NEWS6 (On G6>, Main Systems). Information and tidbits from the Microcomputer world. WSFAST15.LBR (On D1>, Main Systems). Originally released by Steve Sanders, WSFAST corrected the annoying problem of slow signon of Wordstar. This version has been enhanced and modified by Jim Gronek by adding routines to eliminate the first two screens completely, allow the printing of one document while editing another, and optionally signing on the B: drive at startup. COLOR.CMD (On A1>, System Three)....we're not sure what this one does. Use it at your own risk. EOG1.CQD,EOG2.CQD (On A1>, System Three). Eye of God Game. Quite large programs, and perhaps an interesting game. It's in a .CMD format, and came to us without documentation, so try it at your own risk. ELECTRIC.CAL (On B7>, Main Systems). ?? RAMDISK.CQD (On A1>, System Three). 8086 Ramdisk program. Ramdisks are very very popular, especially on 8086/8088 computers with lots of memory. They allow you to treat a part of your memory as if it were a disk drive....very fast, very neat. SIMPREG.CAL (On B7>, Main Systems). ?? USQ.CMD (On A1>, System Three). Unsqueeze for 8086 machines. If you've got an 8086/8088 running under CP/M 86 and you don't have USQ, you need this...it'll allow you to unsqueeze all of the compressed programs here on our systems. Well, it doesn't take Bill long. Here's ZCPR3 for the Apple, kindly implemented by Bill McGee. Apple users, Bill's implementation of ZCPR2 was neat and tidy, and very very easy to bring up. If you liked ZCPR2, then take a look at this one. COREWARS.LBR (On E1>, Main Systems). CORE WARS is a computer game played both with and by computers. In Core Wars, two player written compter programs, both operating concurrently withing the same segment of memory. A program loses when it hits an instruction it cannot execute. Core Wars is described more fully in the May 1983 issue of Scientific Americian. EXBYE4.LBR (On E2>, Main Systems). Bye3 for the Osborne. This program is a reworked BYE3-23 release and has been adapted to operate as an Resident System Extension (RSX) under CP/M Plus. Reworked by George Peace. TURBTOOL.LBR (On E5>, Main Systems). By Bill McGee. This library contains the source from the book "SOFTWARE TOOLS in Pascal" by Kernighan and Plauger. It has been adapted for Turbo pascal. Bill says that this version is fast enough to make a useful set of tools for file manipulation. With the popularity of Turbo Pascal, we expect that this will be a very popular set of programs. UNSOFT1C.LBR (On D1>, Main Systems). By Paul Homchick. A program to covert Wordstar Document mode files to plain vanilla non document ascii format. Will compile with Software Toolworks C80 or C86 or Digitals C. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #191 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 CPM22EM.AQM (On C2>, Main Systems). By Mike Griswold. This program is a resident System extension, which runs under CP/M Plus. This RSX intercepts certain BIOS function calls, and resolves differences between CP/M 2.2 and CP/M 3.x. It allows many programs that do not normally work with CP/M Plus to work correctly. FONTEDIT.BQS (On A6>, System Three). Originally by John Walkenbach, this version revised by Simon Tam for the Osborne 1. This editor will produce a mbasic program which, after execution, will generate a character file. Simply pip the character file to printer to download the new character font. XMDM9192.DQF (On E2>, Main Systems). YOU NEED XMODEM91 to make this one work. The latest update to XMODEM, the file transfer system for remote systems like these. This update adds codes to restrict downloading library files, and also makes some nice enhancements. DELBR11.LBR (On A3>, System Three). By Jeff Jartin, a program to extract all files froma 'Novosielski' library. This version adds buffering and as been modified to work with a variety of unix-like computers. A neat fast way of extracting all files from a library. DU-V88.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems). Yet another update to DU, the disk utility that most of use would't be without. V8.8 makes minor mods, but if you aren't using DU, you should be. Get this one if you don't have an earlier version. FANCFONT.LBR (On C1>, Main Systems). This program demonstrates the amazing quality and variety of text printing that can be achieved with an Epson printer and special software. The program requires an Epson MX80, MX80FT or MX100 equiped with Graftrax80 or Graftrax-Plus. This is a demonstration program. NUSQ.LBR (On A1>, System Three). NUSQ.CMD is an 8086 assembly language huffmn decoding program intended for use with CP/M 86. It will unqueeze Greenlaw type squeezed files. It mimics the BDS 'C' version with the exception of not supporting the - flags and being at least three times faster. UNSPOL34.LBR (On C1>, Main Systems). This mod by P.L. Kelley. Mods made to make the program work with MINCE and Modem programs. Now you can implement a spooler without any additional hardware. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #190 EMX Remote Mail Exchange System (On F3>, Main Systems). From Simon Ewins, a local user. Simon has been running this on his system for some time now and kindly donates it to the community. Documentation for E-MX (Electronic-Mail eXchange) """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Simon Ewins, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ==>> (416) 484-9663 (data-line) <<== E-MX is a remote mail exchange and security control system for remote CP/M systems. The file will run quite well as a local or area network mail exchange program also, provided that some initial control program has control over one byte in memory. E-MX is small and fast! It consumes approximately 10 kilobytes of memory depending on the size of the external GETTIM file for reading the local hardware clock. E-MX is self-maintaining in the sense that the users and messages file are 'mapped' such that as users and messages are deleted from the database the space is made available to the system for new users and messages. This means that the two files in question grow very slowly after a reasonable size has been established. On a system allowing 150 users the users file stays at approx. 12k... the messages file will hover around 34k if a small amount of message activity takes place; with more message activity the file will obviously grow somewhat but it is unlikely that it would ever exceed 50-60k. TLOAD.PQS (On E5>,System Three). By Rudy Rawlins, a local user. This program takes a file *.PRN and converts it to *.PAS with the machine language converted to BORLAND Turbo Pascal's INLINE requirements for Machine Language Code. DU-V87.LBR (On B2>,Main Systems). Latest update of Ward Christianson's Disk Utility. DU lets you get right to the heart of your system...onto the disk, sector by sector, track by track. You can do a lot of good with DU, but it's a very powerful program, and can also do a lot of harm. If you're not familiar with it, make sure that you practice on a disk that you don't mind destroying. No installation necessary, and should work on virtually any CP/M machine. FASTGO11.LBR (On B1>,Main Systems). By James Whorton. FASTGO is designed to be used on a hard or floppy system to provide an easier way to change from one drive/user area to another. Any drive/user area may be assigned a label and optional password. Typing GOTO lists usage and displays the users areas defined. We use this program under the names SECTION and CD on our systems. This version incorporates PASSWORD protection, not previously available. LA12.LBR (On C1>,Main Systems). By Gary Morin. LA is a utility which is executed before running a program that uses a printer as an output devide. It allows the user to specify a number of options available on the DEC LA series printers. Options are selected from a menu or entered directly from the keyboard. NTXT3.LBR (On A6>, System Three). A short txt printing routine. From Walt Wheeler, one of our users. Try the com file to get more information. SAP39.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems). Sort and Pack utility, v3.9. This versio corrected problems with sorting the last directory entry. This utility reads the disk directory tracks, sorths the entries alphabetically and then replaces them back to the disk. Significently speeds up disk accesses, provides sorted directories, and so on. We use this from time to time on our hard disks to keep things running smoothly. As with any disk utility, try it on a scratch disk first to make sure it does what you want. SUPERZAP.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems). SPZ is a full screen interactive disk update utility, providing many of the features found in DU.COM. The program is menu driven, and little additional documentaiton is required. IT REQUIRES A Z80 PROCESSOR to work. MEXNWS.003,MEXFILE.HEX (On B1>, System Three). The latest newsletter from Ron Fowler, regarding MEX, the new MODEM program. If you're using MEX, you should look at this. If you're still using MODEM, you might want to consider MEX. Be advised though that MEX is so full featured, some of our users are finding it difficult to fully utilize it. MODEM740 still remains a good choice for most users. HORO.2ZB (On D8>, Main Systems). Routines for the second serial port of the Northstar Horizon. Northstar users generally will find this useful. PIRATES! (On G6>, Main Systems). A text file...self explainitory. RCPMBUST.WHY, RCPMBUST.MS2 (On G6>, Main Systems). More information on the seizure of an RCP/M System in California. BAKUP23A.LBR (On B2>,Main Systems). By Gary Young. BACKUP is used to copy files from large volume hard disks to low volume floppy disks for backup and recovery purposes. It is intended for CP/M files where the entire file will fit on one floppy disk. PIP is obviously unworkable for large disks, and SWEEP is not ideal. BACKUP is an attempt to resolve some of the shortcomings of both. V23A fixes some bugs in previous versions, but adds no new features. CHAIN21.LBR (On E1>,Main Systems). By Harvey Moran. CHAIN is designed to invoke programs that make use of the arguements on the command line from the CCP. (e.g. BASCOM, and others of that nature). Chain was written to allow chaining to other programs of a language different from that you start in...e.g. chain basic from 'C', etc. Programmers should take note. DDDTV802.LBR (On B2>,Main Systems). This library contains Dysan's disk diagnostic program revised by Jim Petersen to run on a Televideo 802 with the standard Tandon drives that come with the computer. The original non-modified DDD program is also online on these systems, but you'll need the Dysan alignment disk to make use of these programs. Not for the technically incompetent or the novice. SD-88.LBR (On B1>,Main Systems). Yet another update of the SuperDirectory program. V88A deals with video display format. Several new equates have been added to allow maximum flexibliity to the user or SYSOP, including: KTHREE (allows control over number of columns used in display of file sizes), PDRI and PRUS (allow printing of drive/user number at the front end of each file display line), PRLIB, PRBRDR for formatting, and others. Those of you keeping up with the latest in directories will want this one. YANC-ANS.OQB (On B1>,Main Systems). A menu driven master cataloging file, this one specifically configured for ANSI terminals. We haven't been able to get it working quite right yet, but it looks like a super master cataloging system. There are a number of preconfigured versions, which will be online here shortly, so if you don't have an ANSI terminal, wait for the other versions to arrive. BAUD19.ASM (On E2>, Main Systems) Routines to allow for changing the baud rate on ports. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #184 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. XLATE2.LBR (On D2,Main Systems). XLATE2 is a program which translates Intel 8080 assembly language source files into Zilog Z80 assembly language source files. Complete translation of all mnemonics is done, and comment lines beginning with an asterisk are changed to begin with a semicolon. XLATE2 output can typically be assembled by M80. EXBYE0.LBR (On E2,Main Systems). Bye for the Osborne Executive. Contains a .COM file configured for the Executive with default parameters set for the Hayes Smart Modem routines. Also contains all appropriate source code to make any other parameter changes that you wish to make. Read the file B3OX-1.DQC in this library before you get too excited about starting an RCP/M. CPR860.LBR (On A1>, System Three). By Ken Brassler. A CCP replacement for CP/M86 or CP/M816. This CCP replacement has been tested on Compupro hardware, using the standard CP/M86 operating system, and also the CP/M816 operating system. It should work on any computer running the standard CP/M86 operating system such as the Z100, IBM PC, Rainbow, etc. This is basically a subset of the commands offered in ZCPR2 written By Rich Conn. FINDU10.LBR (On B1>, Main Systems). By Sigi Kluger. FINDU is a find40 replacement. FindU means find with unsqueeze, and the program will process both squeezed and unsqueezed files, as long as the files are on the same drive in the default user area. FINDU will find strings within files. TYPEL32.LBR (On C1>,Main Systems). TYPEL is a universal single file lister which allows typing of any of the following type files: Normal ASCII Squeezed ASCII ASCII Member of LBR Squeezed ASCII member of LBR file TYPEL determines from the filetype whether or not the file is ASCII...i.e. It refuses to process certain file types. V3.2 fixes some bugs, and V3.1 adds LST ouptput capability. WSKEY.LBR (On D1>,Main Systems). WSKEY by Dr. William C. Parke, is a machine language module which can be attached to the back of MircoPro's Wordstar for CP/M-80. When attached, it will translate the function and numeric keypad key codes on the Heath/Zenith H/Z19,29,89,90 and 100 series terminals and computers into user defined commands and strings to be interpreted by Wordstar. VDO.LBR (On A6>, System Three). VDO is a file editor for the Osborne 1 computer. It is not a text editor in that it does not have such features as word wrap, paragraph reflow, justification or pagination. It is intended to be a fast small editor,, which uses very little disk space and can handle reasonably large files. BBS-LAWS.MQG (On G6>,Main Systems). By Phil Lapsley. Some comments on the recent seizure of a California RCP/M System. System operators, please note this. Users, this give you some idea why we just won't indulge in anything that's not above board on these systems. KPROWARN.MQG (On A4>, System Three). By Eric Stork. Some notes on Kaypro Policies. We've run into some similiar things here with the local Canadian distributor....the Kaypro's a good machine..we're very happy with ours, but don't count on anything out of the ordinary in terms of support. RB4.BQS (On F1>,Main Systems) By Nelson Ford, a program to look at BASIC programs that have been saved in compacted binary. This code may also be added to other programs that need to read BASIC programs that may not be saved in ASCII. XMOX-1.AQM (On E2>,Main Systems). This file adapts XMODEMxx to the Executive Computer. When used with EXBYE (also on this disk), you'll have the makings of a software exchange system. You'll still need to add some bbs software to get logging and bulletin board, but this is another key part. H89RP1.OBJ (On C3>,Main Systems). No doc file..you're on your own. RCPM-050.LQT (On C0>,Main Systems). The latest RCP/M List, this one dated 15 May 1984 and done by Kim Levitt. Many more RCP/M Systems around, almost 1/2 now running 1200 baud, and many running Hard disks. If there isn't enough on our systems for you, try one of these. ZTERMK.DOC (On G6>,Main Systems). Documentation (But not the program) on a communications program called ZTERM. TORONTO RCP/M DISK #183 Issued by: Toronto RCP/M Systems Limited, 4691 Dundas Street West Islington, Ontario, Canada M9A 1A7 (416) 239-2835 Disks available by mail or from our five remote telecommunications systems. @.LBR (On C3>, Main Systems). @ is an online expression evaluator for CP/M's CCP. It acts as a calculator in the same manner as the calculator or immediate mode of basic. The expression may be included in the command line or input from the program itself. Originally from Dr. Dobbs, October 1978. ANYCODE.LBR (On D1>, Main Systems). By Doug Hurst. Based on an article in the newly revived 'Portable Companion'. Makes Wordstar more powerful and text files more flexible and portable. Instead of embedding commands with Wordstar, you simply enter them as per your printer manual. Try this. You'll like it. CLSGAP.LBR (On G2>, Main Systems). By David Garland. CLSGAP was written to provide a means of cleaning up Personal Pearl output so tht it could be used for a mailing list. It oculd also be used to reformat other reports, and may well be usable on report generators other than Personal Pearl (Filer, dBASE, etc). This program rewrited disk files so that designated output areas have all the spaces to the right of the last printing character. CPMPLIO.LBR (On C2>, Main Systems). For CP/M Plus. By Dennis Hamilton. This set of programs provides a proposal for obtaining additional input/output status informaton in programs that are able to use it. Beyond us. You CP/M plus users may know what it means, what it's good for, and find it of value. DBL211.LBR (On D1>, Main Systems). DBL.ASM was written to use the features of most of the common printers to reduce the amount of paper used to list text files that are not overly wide. What is does is print two pages at a time on a single sheet of pater in a side by side fashion. This update by Frans Van Duinen, a local user. DUMPDIR1.LBR (On B2>, Main Systems). By Sigi Kluger. V1.10. DUMPDIR displays considerable amounts of information relating to a disk directory. Seen here before in it's original form, this is an update version, from Sigi. SYSOP110.LBR (On F3>, Main Systems). By Simon Ewins, a local user. SYSOP and SYSREAD are actually part of the EXM RCP/M Main system, but they should run on most RCP/M Systems. SYSOP when entered at a CP/M prompt allows the remote user to enter comments to a file that can later be read by the SYSOP with SYSREAD. Fast, short, and efficent. GODBOUT.TXT (ON G6>, Main Systems). An interview with William Godbout, one of the originals in the Microcomputer industry. Fascinating reading. MXSET23.AQM (On C1>, Main Systems). This program, originally by Simon Ewins, and now modified by Frans Van Duinen, will set/reset all of the major functions of the Epson MX-80 or MX-100 printer with our without Graftrax. NEWS. (On G6>, Main Systems). Random bits of news, from Toronto Twilight System. SETDATE.CMD (On B4>, System Three). By Steve Brecher. This procedure arose out of dissatisfaction with the date setting command file distributed for dBASE II which allows an illegal date without complaint. This procedure gets the previous system date, and prompts the use for a new date, doing full error checking on the way. RPD.FIL (On G6>, Main Systems). Real Programmers don't do what??? SYSTEM.USE (On G6>, Main Systems). By Graham Newton, from the Logic Bulletin Board. Graham makes some fine comments about System Use, many of which apply here. Must reading for all, especially in light of the recent seizure of a RCP/M in California by local Police and Pacific Bell. TURBOBUG.001 (On E5>, Main Systems.) Bug report and fix for Borlands Turbo Pascal. BANK1.CAL, BANKNDX5.CAL (On B7>, Main Systems). Banking and financial overlays for Supercalc. Very comprehensive and complete. JP2.OBJ (On D1>, Main Systems). James Justificaton and Print routines, version 2. Pretty printing and justification routines for files. A true text formatter. OSCHG.OBJ (On A6>, System Three). Routines to change keys and screen of Osborne 1 computer. No documentation, but pretty much self explaintory. A utility package that should be on every system. FTNOTE12.LBR (On D1,Main Systems). By Eric Meyer. FTNOTE is a formatting utility for Wordstar files. Its main function is to allow the printing of Wordstar documents with page bottom footnotes, but it does improved block formatting as well. FTNOTE will automatically move your footnotes into and out of your text file; number them for use as end notes; or produce a printable file with them at the page bottom. GETIT.AQM (On E2,Main Systems). By John Blalock. This program is a very simple CP/M terminal and ASCII text capture program.. Once customized for your particulat computer, it will allow you to communicate to another computer via the serial port. It is expected that the serial port will be connected to a modem. GETIT will allow you to transfer files from the remote computer to yours and save them on disk. M7OVL-16.LST (On B1>, System Three). Latest listing of available MDM overlays. Not all available here. If you've got one that we don't, please leave it for us. NOTE3.LBR (On F3, Main Systems). NOTE is a simple program intended for use on a RCP/M system. It allows the user of the system to type a note to the sysop. The note is stored on disk, presumably in a private area for read back or later printing. Up to 50 lines may be entered. We're going to look at the possibility of implementing this one to speed up the log off procedures on the systems. PAT730V7.AQM (On B1>, System Three). Latest version of the popular patch program for MDMxxx. With this, and the proper overlay, you don't need the source to MDMxxx. (which is now over 150k in length, squeezed). Take this, if you want to modify MDMxxx. RBBS4101.LBR (On F3,Main Systems). RBBS4 is a new version of the popular public domain program, written in BDS C, co-authored by John Gilbert and Frank Wancho. It is not upward file compatible with older versions of RBBS, and requires BDS 'C' V1.5 or higher to compile. Includes complete Šsource and all files necessary to get it running. TYPEL31.LBR (On C1,Main Systems). TYPEL now includes LST output capability. TYPEL is a universal single file lister which allows typing of normal ASCII files, squeezed ASCII files, ASCII member of a library or squeezed ASCII member of a library. TYPEL determines from the file type whether or not the file is ASCII, and refuses to process non-ascii type files. UNSQ14.LBR (On E1,Main Systems). By Gail Zacharias. Yet another update of the MDM program. This one adds a number of new features including a circular ring redialing capability to allow autodialing of a series of different numbers until one answers. Not as powerful as MEX, but a tried and proven program. The command structure of MDM740 is similiar to previous MDM programs, so it will appeal to those of you who aren't willing to learn the new commands of MEX. MEX10.LBR (On B1>, System Three). By Ron Fowler. MEX is a Modem Executive. Its purpose is to build upon the capabilities provided by various terminal emulation and file transfer programs written for CP/M 80. MEX provides, in one program, a phone number librarian and editor, a powerful autodialer, a file transfer facility supporting the XMODEM protocol, CIS A protocal and a dumb terminal protocol, batch file transfers, a STAT command, a batch command file processor, and online help. A significent new program which adds considerably to the capabilities of MDM740. MEX combines the capability of many public domain programs, and is a superset of such programs as MODEM2, MDM, MODEM7 and similiar. JRTDOCS.LBR (On E5>, Main Systems). JRTDOCS.LBR is a library of documentation for JRT PASCAL V3.0. As many of you are aware, the compiler has been here for some time. Now, here is the documentation. It may be the only chance that you have to get the documentation, as JRT is no longer in business. Left for us by Ian Winton. Thanks for the goodies, Ian. Maybe one day, we'll play a little bit with Forth and learn what it's all about. There are 6-10 users out there that just wait for contributions from Frans. MODEM86.AQM (On A1>, System Three). Modem terminal program rewritten in CP/M 86 assembly language. May need MAC to assemble, but it's from a fairly old version of MODEM, so probably ok under .ASM. CP/M 86 users, you've been crying for this one for some time...here it is. Z-MOVCPM.DQC (On E4>, Systems One and Two). For ZCPR-2 users. Here's a way to implement using MOVCPM, rather than SYSGEN. SC-TAX83 and TAX83 are for Canadian Taxes, and come from local users, while TAXFORMS. is for US Taxes, and is very comprehensive. Thanks to those that update them every year for us. They are very popular, and we appreciate the efforts of those that update them. As always, the authors and Toronto RCP/M Systems take no responsibility for their correctness. You're still on your own for your taxes. OXTRICKS.LBR (On A6>, System Three). By W. Van Riper, this is a series of programs for the Osborne Executive. They use features peculiar to that machine, but some will run on the Osborne 1 with some modifictions. There's quite a collection here..Executive owners, especially, should look at these. SSORT.LBR (On E1>, SYstems One and Two). SSORT is a merge sort utility. This as, the limiations on the size of the file to be sorted are ones of disk space rather than memory space. As configured, it allows up to 20 sort keys to be specified. Looks like a very useful sorting routine. We don't see too many of these around. Enjoy. TYPEL23.LBR (On C1>, Systems One and Two). Released by ESKAY software, TYPEL is a step ahead of LTYPE, LDIR and TYPE. TYPEL allows single file typeing of squeezed, unsqueezed or library members. Is it better than BISHOW?? FINDUSER.DQC,MQC (On F3>, System One/Two). By Sigi Kluger, a utility for those of us using the SIGNON series of programs for control of our remote systems. This utility allows you to search for a particular user within the User files. Not implemented here, as our file structure is somewhat different. We may get to it some day, but it's a relatively low priority. HELP18U.AQM (On C1>, System One/Two). By Rick Conn. Help is a tree driven program to allow users to search through a set of trees to find certain information on a topic of interest. We use this program here to assist you in getting system information.
